Wise Words

Dr Seuss – a man of many rhyming words. A man who seemed to have the art of writing quotes down pat – quotes, sentences and basic rhymes which more people need to read again for the first time since they were young, or maybe for the first time ever!
So many basic words, strung together in a childlike, rhyming fashion that have so much meaning and depth and the ability to relate to so many things in life.
I love so many of his quotes! They are so basic yet so wise. Anyone can get something from them.

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” – The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

“I know, up on top you are seeing great sights, but down here at the bottom we, too, should have rights.” – Yertle The Turtle

“I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny.” – The Cat In The Hat
(Love this one! Find positives in any situation. Make the best of what you’ve got)

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not.” – The Lorax

“Did you ever fly a kite in bed?
Did you ever walk with ten cats on your head?
Did you ever milk this kind of cow?
Well, we can do it. We know how.
If you never did, you should.
These things are fun and fun is good.” – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
(I love this one too! Don’t be afraid of trying something new, being bold and having fun, fun that might be a little different from the usual fun you would have. Don’t be afraid of being different)

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me” – Dr Seuss

“A person’s a person, no matter how small” – Horton Hears A Who

Just some of my favourites for you!
Hope you like them
Karlee
